Here in our FAQ page, we will attempt to answer all of the most common questions that we get on a daily basis. Please search through here for your answer first before sending an email on our CONTACT US page
HOW DO I GET THE DRAIN PLUG OUT OF MY STOCK TANK?
To remove the drain plug, use a standard 3/8 drive ratchet with no socket on it. The square drive fits neatly into the slot allowing for super easy removal and installation. There is a rubber gasket on most so be careful not to overtighten them when installing which will prevent damage to the gasket.

JULY 31 UPDATE
Here we are at the end of the month, we have received all of our tanks in Ontario. Quebec and Winnipeg are still waiting for theirs to arrive. We have been working long hours and doing everything we can to get tanks delivered, as we stated before we are prioritizing our delivery runs to the oldest orders. If you have placed an order and haven’t heard from us yet, don’ t worry you will. We are calling everyone before we deliver.
Finally, due to the overwhelming amount of orders still flowing in and the work involved in organizing the deliveries we will no longer allow cancellations of tank orders as of July 31. This is the only way we can efficiently maintain some sort of organization with delivery schedules.
We have had several inquiries about cancelling and re ordering next year, if this is something that you are thinking about please note that we are taking orders NOW for next year already. Once spring comes next year we suspect that we will be in the same boat and we will not be able to get enough tanks to fulfill the orders coming in next summer so please get your orders in now for next year and that way you will have your tank for next spring.
JULY STOCK TANK ORDER UPDATE
We finally have confirmation that we are receiving our stock tank order early next week July 20. We will be “all hands on deck” sorting and placing orders with tanks once the truck arrives. As we are prioritizing the oldest orders first you may not hear from us right away, please be patient, we will get to your order and WE WILL call you before we deliver it. During this time we will not be answering the phones or replying to emails as quickly as we usually do until we have all the orders filled.
If you are picking up your tank in store please wait for our phone call to schedule an appointment with us, this will help with overcrowding, long wait times and social distancing while you are here. Thank you for your order and thank you for your patience during these unprecedented times.
QUEBEC STORE UPDATE – MISE À JOUR DU MAGASIN DU QUÉBEC
We would like to take this time to welcome our newest store located in Terrebonne QC. Helene is now taking pre-orders for stock tanks with the expectation of receiving their first order of Galvanized Steel Stock tanks from the manufacturer around the end of JULY. With the overwhelming popularity of these tanks, the manufacturer is doing all they can to keep up with the demand however they are unable to give an exact completion date until about 1 week ahead of when the order is ready for shipping. If you have already placed an order with Helene and are waiting for your tank to arrive we thank you for your order and appreciate your patience, you will receive a call when your tank arrives in Terrebonne and is ready to be picked up. If you are wanting to order a tank in QC the info to call or email them so you can place your order is found HERE. All our tanks in all our stores are being handled the same way, ALL orders are paid for upon ordering and ALL orders are filled from the oldest to the newest. The demand is absolutely overwhelming, we are finding it extremely difficult to keep any inventory because most tanks are sold before they get here. Tanks are being ordered NOW for next year already because we will be unable to get any more tanks after the July truckload this summer.
JULY TANK ORDER UPDATE
We did a quick review of where we stood on orders for the July truckload of Galvanized Stock Tanks so we thought we would bring everyone up to speed as to where we were at. As of June 23rd there are only ten (10) of the 8′ round tanks left that are not sold. That means that from here on out it will be hit or miss if you order an 8′ tank. HOWEVER. There are still lots of 7′, 9′ and 10′ tanks available and if you order an 8′ tank and do not get one we will give you the option to change the size.
We still do not have an exact date for the truck to arrive here. It is still scheduled for mid to late July but we will not have an exact date until the week before it actually leaves the manufacturer.
Finally, when the truck does get here we have a ton of work to do. This is when it will seem like you can not get a hold of anyone in the office. It takes almost a week for all of us to just unload the truck and sort through and organize all the tanks. Once they are organized the shipping department starts “building loads”. While they are doing that we will start to call the people who have selected in-store pickup and schedule a time with them to pick up their tank, this is to keep the traffic level around the yard to a manageable level. If you have selected delivery, patience is going to be a virtue, we are filling the oldest orders first and building our runs around those, we will have no estimated time for your delivery until a couple of days before it is going to happen, then the day before we finalize the run and personally call everyone to schedule the next day’s deliveries.
YOUR TANKS SAY BACKORDERED, CAN I GET ONE?
With the recent popularity of the galvanized tanks being used for pools and spas, we have not been able to keep tanks in stock. In order to get a tank you MUST order the tank on line, this puts your name on the list and you are “inline”. We are filling our oldest orders first and working our way to the most recent orders. We received a truckload of tanks on June 1 which were all pre-sold before they even arrived. The next truck is scheduled for the MIDDLE of July. Once we have sorted and put tanks with orders we will be calling people to schedule an appointment for them to come and pick up their tank or set a delivery time. If you ordered a tank to late for the June truck and we are not able to fulfill your order with the size you selected you will also receive a call to discuss the option of selecting another size that we still have or waiting until July. Your patience is appreciated as we get through this, if you have any questions emailing is a preferred method as we are not able to handle the phone traffic and you will most likely get a voice mail.
ARE THE TANKS EASY TO TRANSPORT BY PICKUP TRUCK?
Actually YES! Most tanks are quite easy to move with a pickup. All of the round end tanks will fit nicely with a strap over them, some of the longer ones will however hang off the back of the tailgate. The smaller round tanks fit into the bed of most pickup trucks as well. When it comes to the 7′ and 8′ tanks, they sit on top of the bed rails and using 2″ ratchet-style tie-downs in an X we secure them to in bed tie-down mounts. Please note you will need to bring good quality strong straps, string or bungee cords are NOT ok to hold a tank onto a pickup. The larger 9′ and 10′ tanks are not so easy and are considered “oversize loads”. They have special requirements with the MTO for transporting that you will need to deal with if picking up your 9 or 10-foot tank. We have all of the proper equipmment to handle these larger tanks safely so we HIGHLY recommend you let us handle the delivery for you. When you are here our friendly staff will be happy to assist you in getting the tank onto your vehicle however we can only recommend ways of securing your load, we can in no way assume any liability for any damages caused due to an unsecured load.
IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE DRIVER TO ENSURE THEIR LOAD IS SECURE THE ENTIRE TRIP.
HOW LONG BEFORE YOUR NEXT ORDER OF TANKS COME IN?
Galvanized steel stock tanks are definitely the hottest item of 2020 so far. If you are looking to purchase one and see that it is not currently in stock have a quick check of other sizes close to what you want because we might just have one of those. However, our next order of tanks is scheduled to arrive in the middle of July and with all of the backorders that we currently have, we will be filling the oldest orders FIRST with our new inventory.
So go ahead and get your order in NOW to reserve your tank for this year, with the incredible demand for them this year we may experience major shortages from the manufacturer later in the season.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO SHIP A PRODUCT TO ME?
This is by far the most difficult question to answer, we are working with multiple logistics companies to get better rates across the country, however … Quoting for all of Ontario is done in the shopping cart, in some instances, we may be required to do a manual quote and get back to you if this is the case you will be asked for your information. Quoting freight is very time-consuming so it may take a few days to happen, even longer when we are very busy. Galvanized tanks, especially the large ones are very expensive to ship outside of provinces that do not have a store in them, they take up so much deck space on the trailer and the largest ones will have an oversize freight charge added to them.
HOW MUCH IS A PARTICULAR PRODUCT AND DO YOU HAVE IT?
We have put an incredible amount of effort and time into making our website as complete as possible. ALL product pricing is online along with the inventory of the Ontario store. We are working on getting the Edmonton store online soon but for now you have to call them to find out if they have what you are needing.
WHY HAS NO ONE RESPONDED TO MY CALL OR EMAIL YET?
We are so very sorry. These are very unusual times that we all have to adjust to. Our galvanized stock tank sales have increased drastically to the point where we cannot keep inventory or handle the work load all at once, forcing us to do what we can where we can. We are answering all the emails in the order that they are received. Quebec inquiries are especially difficult because we do not have a franchise there yet, once we partner with someone to open a store in QC then all emails will be forwarded to them to handle. Please be patient and kind, stay safe and we will all get through this together.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT AFTER I PLACE MY ORDER?
Once your order is placed on line we will pick your order from inventory unless your order was on backorder. Once we have checked your order over and everything is right then you will receive an email confirming your order is ready for you to pick up in store if that is the option you chose. If you chose a shipping option you will either receive a phone call from our shipping department to schedule a time for delivery of your order OR you will receive an email giving you the shipping details and tracking number of the shipment. Please be patient, if you are waiting for a phone call to schedule delivery, we DO NOT offer next day deliveries and on average it takes at least a week to schedule.
WHY CAN I NOT GET THE WEBSITE TO CALCULATE SHIPPING?
We are currently dealing with inaccuracies with our shipping calculator outside of Ontario so we have turned it off. We apologize for the inconvenience and we are working on a solution. We currently have a store in Ontario and in Edmonton, from those two stores we can handle sales in our respective provinces, Getting large stock tanks to people outside of these provinces is becoming more difficult as shipping costs rise beyond what is feasible. If you would like us to put together a shipping quote for you please email us on our CONTACT US form with the product you would like and your address so we can reply when we can. Please be patient as we work on the oldest emails first.
We are actively seeking partnerships with people in those areas to inventory and sell our products in their province. If you or someone you know is interested in a business opportunity contact us HERE ON OUR FRANCHISE OPPORTUNITY PAGE.
DO ALL THE TANKS HAVE A DRAIN PLUG IN THEM?
YES! … and no.
Almost all of the tanks have a standard 3/4″ NPT threaded hole with plug included. However some of the very smallest tanks do not need them as they do not hold enough water to justify the drain plug.
